Tips for Preparation

1

Split the categories between team members. This will make it easier to select who will be chosen for the 1v1 round categories and lessens the burden on the team players.

2

Work on your mental math skills. Do regular drills of mental addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division, along with your times tables. Being able to do quick math in your head will save you some time.

3

Practice like you're in the game. Check back here regularly for practice packets. Have your coach set up the game like you would play in the actual tournament, with timing and everything. You can practice with online/digital buzzers or physical buzzers.

4

Familiarize yourself with the math concepts and multi-step word problems. The questions in the games are meant to challenge your brain. They will be multi-step questions that may incorporate more than one skill from a category.

Practice Packets

Below are some documents you can download. These question packets contain 10-20 questions each. You can use these for practicing on your own or for team practices. Check back frequently for more practice packets to be added.

Practice packets will start releasing on October 1, 2026!
